I have 100000 turkish yuz bin Turk Lirasi, does anyone know how much this is in US dollars? Thanks? i have seen that in some sites it says that this money is not worth no more. Is this true? How much was it worth before and how much is it worth now? I have so many questions about this bill. When I told my family it was worth alot we even cried of happiness and we made a cheer because we were not going to pe poor no more but then i researched on the internet more about it and found all this. That said it was not worth no more. I cried in my room not knowing how to tell my parents that we had to loose our home and all our belongings. Im crying just writing this message now. I dont know how to tell them. It gave me hope but now im devastated. It gave all my family hope and we thanked god for this but now i know that it was all a dream. A man gave us this bill 12 years ago on christmas day when he saw me and my brother sleeping on the floor of a theatre while my parents cleaned it. They were the janitors and we would wrap ourselfes in a blanket on the floor all night till school in the morning. This happened every day in chicago but at least it was warm there. i dont know why i have written this down but maybe it is sadness that makes me tell my story.

It is worthless in USD, and if you tried to sell them, it would probably sell for only a little.
You can make alot of money off of them only if they are in mint condition (no bends, folds, rips, holes, etc).

I feel your pain and i'm sorry to hear all this.
I hope you and your family manages to overcome this difficult times and everything will be alright.

about the bill.. dear, how can you believe that a single bill could be worth a fortune? i wish you could've thought more wisely and not held on this false hope. correct me if i'm wrong but i don't think any single bill in the world is worth that much money. there are cheques for that..

i think this is the banknote you have: http://www.turkishbanknotes.info/7emisyon-100000-lira.htm it's issued between 1991-1996. it was never worth much money. all value it has now is due to collection purposes. if it's in perfect condition and series A-B-C it says it's worth $50-65. for your information from the 1970s through to the 1990s Turkish lira experienced severe depreciation in value so there was even a 20.000.000 lira baknote ( http://www.turkishbanknotes.info/7emisyon-20000000-lira.htm ). they're all out of date now. these are the current high value baknotes: http://www.turkishbanknotes.info/9emisyon-50-100-200-tl.htm they are worth respectively, $34, $68 and $135.

anyways, wipe your tears. i'm sure your family will get over these hard times. next time don't let anything like this get your hopes so high without strong foundations. a single banknote can never be worth a fortune unless it's like 100 years old and in mint condition..

best wishes..
