Take it to the dry cleaners.
If hand washing in COLD water with Woolite (a gentle soap for natural fur/fibers) doesn't do it then take it to a dry cleaners and tell them what is on the blanket so they use the right treatment.
Enzymatic cleaners tend to work very well to get out cat urine. Good brands are Nature's Miracle and Anti-Icky-Poo. (AIP is only found online at this time, but NM is sold at most major pet stores.)
If you use any sort of detergent before an enzymatic cleaner, the cleaner will not work as well - detergent residue will interfere with the enzymes.
Vinegar, lemon juice, coffee grounds and other acidic products also work okay for bad odor removal. A mixture of a quart of water, 5 drops of dish liquid soap, and 1/4 c white vinegar was an old remedy that works pretty well, but not as well as the newer enzymatic products. And you can try leaving the blanket in a closed space with a bowl of coffee grounds or vinegar to absorb the bad odor - you don't have to apply the acidic substance directly to the blanket. I did that for some fish odor that got in my car - it worked pretty well.
