Question:

Chocolate cake with Hershey's syrup?

Chocolate cake with Hershey's syrup? I'm looking for a super simple recipe for a cake mix with hershey's syrup drizzled in it. I know I have had in the past a cake that you poke holes in it and fill with hershey's syrup to make it extra gooey? Usually served with ice cream. I cannot for the life of me find that recipe. I'm not searching for the right key words. I don't want to make it from scratch--don't have time! Thanks so much!

This is not exactly what you are looking for and this is from scratch, and yes, you would have time to make this as it goes together quickly.
These are rich and delicious and similar to Texas Sheet Cake.

Iowa Brownies

1 stick butter (ONLY!), softened
1 cup sugar
1 (16 ounces) Hershey's Syrup
4 eggs
1 cup flour
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Icing (recipe follows)

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in syrup and eggs until well mixed. Beat in flour. Add nuts, if used. Pour into greased 15"x10"x1" jelly roll pan. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees F. DO NOT OVER-BAKE. Cool. Ice.

Icing

1 stick butter (only!)
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup chocolate semi-sweet chocolate chips

Place butter, sugar, and milk in a 2 quart sauce pan and melt the butter, stirring well. Bring to a boil and boil one minute; remove from heat. Stir in chocolate chips until melted. Pour over cooled cake.
