That means Jemmy made a profit of $2,250. Or in other words he sold it for $17,250.

so 15,000*0.15=2250 $

so he made 2250 profit.

hint: I changed 15 % into 0.15 because thats what u suppose to put when u insert it in any multiplication or division problem

If you want to know the profit he made, then it was 15% of $15,000 = 0.15 * 15,000 = $2,250. If you want to know what price he sold the boat for, then it was $15,000 + $2,250 = $17,250.

selling price= 100+ profit% / 100 *cost price
selling price= 100+15% / 100 *15000
selling price= 115 / 100 * 15000
selling price= 1.15 * 15000
selling price= 17250
selling price= $17250
