Hey, either buy a recorder that you can transfere from vhs to dvd I got one for about £150, brilliant.
Or take them to a shop that does it for about £10-£15 depends on how long the video is!!

i think you put the movie on your computer with a video card and convert it to dvd and burn them off, think i need to get onto this idea too videos take up too much space, good idea for a carboot sale eh?

Yea, you do it the same way you copy home VHS. With a VHS to DVD recorder or through your computer, which gets complicated.
If its just one or two i say buy the DVD. They are releasing more and more old movie titles in DVD every day and they are usually $7 to $14 for older movies.
If you have a lot to copy a $150-200 recorder would be cheaper.
But be careful concerning copyright laws, but i think it will be OK since your just making a "personal backup".

the simplest way is to buy a dvd recorder.
many of the new VHS tapes have macrovision copyright protection but most of the older ones do not.
