What does insoluble mean? Isn't it separate? Therefore it should, by definition have no effect upon the melting point of solutions that are not crystals, but it could have a substantial effect upon crystals by deforming the crystal shape of the substance in can lower or in the case of some metals raise the melting point of solids. Or depress the freezing point (going the other way) as salt does in water.
